2005 MAAC 1st Team All-Conference Goalie and Division I Assistant Coach Andrew McMinn demonstrates Lead hand and lead step with straight line principles.  Goalie Tech camper to coach ratio is one of the best in the Nation.

Friar Head Coach Chris Burdick meets with campers at the 2005 GT rap-up to discuss the session and to answer any questions.  At the University of Delaware, Burdick provided a Masters Thesis on lacrosse goalie play.  He has been the goalie coach at Notre Dame, Umass, Delaware and Cornell.

STRAIGHT LINE THEORY SAVE TECHNIQUE:  The shortest distance between two points—Straight line techniques emphasizes getting the

LEAD HAND to the point of contact on a straight line.

FLOATING ARC PRINCIPLE:  High arc or low arc?  The FLOATING ARC technique allows goalies to change their arc play as the game situation dictates, allowing for maximum efficiency for repositioning around ball movement or cutting down angles on shooters.

BACK SIDE TURN POSITION:  There is no more efficient turn position than the BACK SIDE TURN POSITION technique, which allows you to get to every possible shot off a feed or drive from behind with just one step.

GOALIE: THE FIRST LINE OF OFFENSE:  Pushing transition with your stick and feet is a great way to help swing the momentum of the game.  Who better to teach you than a goalie who has two goals and two assist as a Division I goalie at Delaware.

BE THE BALL:  Psychology of the position is critical in developing your level of play.  Chris Burdick provided a masters thesis on internal perspective visualization techniques to enhance goaltender confidence in Choice Response Tasks...what?
