CAMP MISSION
The Elite Camp's mission is to prepare campers for college level play. This camp:
o teaches campers what college coaches look for when recruiting
o exposes them to team concepts used in the college game, including;
§ extra man
§ man down situations
§ zone defense and offense
§ slide and recover systems
§ offensive packages
§ end of game situations, and more.
o College coaches will coach as if you were on their Division I, II or III roster.
o Rising juniors, this is a great camp to attend before attending a major recruiting camp.
o Graduating seniors, this is a great camp to get ready for college fall ball.
NOTE: Extremely well received, this camp sold out in its first five years!
Elite—College Prep is designed to challenge the intellect of the high school player. Team concepts are covered with the same rigor and pace that they are introduced in a Division I college practice. Campers are challenged to develop an extensive understanding of the concepts and to be able to execute them in league play.
The challenge of the Elite camp creates intense team cohesion and competition. Teams will throw zones, early slides vs. inverts and specially designed man up plays at each other on the way to the camp championship game.
2008 Camp staff included coaches from:
University of Delaware
Providence College
Goucher College
Thomas College
Sacred Heart University
Mt. Ida College
Amherst College
New England College
Curry College
Brown University
